a Swami joke a day, keeps the blues away
A physicist, biologist and chemist went to a beach. Having been in their labs for so long, they were very excited at being able to go to a beach (having never been to one before!).
The physicist looked at the movement of the waves and got very fascinated, and was very eager to go closer to the water to further his calculations. The biologist and chemist warned him that it might be dangerous to go into the deep waters, but he ignored them and went anyway. He drowned.
The biologist suddenly remembered that the ocean is home to so many different life forms and got increasingly excited at being able to study the various species more intimately. He too went closer to the waters and despite warnings from the chemist, also walked into the deep end. He drowned too.
The chemist stood for a while, deep in thought. When the physicist and the biologist didn't reappear after 15 minutes, he took out his pen and notepad, and wrote "Physicists and biologists are soluble in seawater."
A biologist was studying a frog. He placed a frog on the table, and clapped. The frog jumped. He wrote, "When I clapped my hands, the frog jumped."
He cut away one of the legs, and clapped his hands again. The frog tried to jump, but could not jumps as far as before. He wrote, "With one leg cut, the frog could jump a shorter distance."
He cut away another leg, and clapped his hands. The frog tried to jump, but could not leave the ground. He wrote, "With 2 legs cut, the frog could propel itself upwards a little, but not leaving the ground."
Again, he cut away one more leg, and clapped his hands. The frog tried to jump, but could only managed a small movement. He wrote, "With 3 legs cut, the frog could only move a bit."
Finally, he cut away the last leg, and clapped. There was no movement from the frog. Again he clapped, and again there was no movement. He wrote, "With 4 legs cut, the frog became deaf."
