am tempted to do a lame video but argh i shld really start getting into sch mode and sleep early while i still can.
actually i just feel like blogging more too. a brief summary of my trip in bangkok perhaps? it was really a kinda impromptu kinda trip. like deciding where to go only the night before (not exactly actually, cos elvis did research beforehand and come up with possible places to go). and i like this kinda relaxed way of visiting places. relaxed in the sense that the schedule isn't determined and adhered to so strictly (cos shopping was intensive and not exactly 'relaxed').
one of the most memorable event (though certainly not the most enjoyable haha) was the trip down to ayutthaya. was deciding between a more expensive but comfortable way of going via a hired minivan, which will tour around the place and then bring us back to our hostel, or taking a 2hr non-aircon train ride, and then walking/bicycling around the place. we chose the latter mainly for the experience and though it wasn't pleasurable it was not something i regretted. didn't walk nor cycle though, we got a tuk-tuk instead, which wasn't that ex actually. without a guide, the ancient buildings just look like different variations of brick-structures. plus it was a very hot day and i got tired quite quickly. had a bit too much coconut in my excitement of spotting the thirst-quencher, and also took a long time taking macro shots of flowers instead of exploring the ruins ha. and then we managed to get a bus back for a cheap price, only to end up at some unfamiliar bus terminal where the nearest bts station was nowhere to be seen. asked around and having been pointed to 42839504 different directions and buses, we managed to find one that took us to a bts station (and got away for not paying the bus fare as well!).
speaking of which, we more or less covered every public transport/way of getting around in bangkok. bts, mrt, bus, taxi, walk, tuk-tuk. didn't cycle though, and it was only today (omg felt like ytd) that i realised there are motorbike-taxi services near our hostel, i.e. say where you wanna go and you can pillion ride to the place for a small fee. had wanted to try it but didn't in the end.
aiyah there are a lot of other things to talk about but i think i'll end at 4am if i go into details. sad. oh well shall admire my photos instead.
