=)
feel much better today for some reason.
-omg i'm sweating all over even though i just bathed. where is the wind??-
today was a day when my impressions changed. so it further reinforced my belief that first impressions are almost always inaccurate. thought i wld be able to talk more to vt and not to jz but today i realised jz was almost as lame as me and vt prob shares a diff wavelength as me (but maybe cos i felt slightly unhappy over some things he's done but didn't want to say it)
anw after lunch we wanted to kill time and not go back to office so early so we went to the lib. had teh tarik instead of coffee cos i didn't wanna get addicted to caffeine (there's this coffee maker thingy where staff can get free drinks: coffee, teh tarik, milo). and then we sat down to look at a book entitled 'luxury toys' and woohoo the inside was filled with beautiful pictures of expensive (understatement?) yatchs, cars, and jetplanes. the cars are just <3. the Lamborghinis and the Ferraris and the merz and the bmws wooooo i want. my bday is coming in 3 months that's enough time to raise money to buy one of those for me. only slightly more than a million sgd, not incld taxes i suppose. and then there was still 'time' so we viewed another book with pretty apartments, but i probably can appreciate beautiful cars more than pretty apartments. but they were still nice to oogle at.
and then we decided we slacked too long and went back to office. finished printing and filing and labelling at abt 3 and "you can take a break and go back now. jz u can come back tmr to help diana with mail-merging (woe is that?) and the two of you i'll see u all on monday" so there.

The power of mail merge
You use mail merge when you want to create a set of documents that are essentially the same but where each document contains unique elements. For example, in a letter that announces a new product, your company logo and the text about the product will appear in each letter, and the address and greeting line will be different in each letter.
-end of disruption-
oooh. so anw, quickly went online to see if i can book driving lessons on fri (i.e. tmr) but only had thurs evening (i.e. this evening) and sat morning slots. i clicked on the thurs evening one and realised it's peak hour and cost the same as sat morning, and sth made me switch to the sat morning slot instead (maybe cos i have fte also). 8am. yawn. and after the lesson i have more than 1 hr to wait before fte. can mug. oh well.
AD was in a bad mood today. see, the day before ytd another boss told me to fold this reply slip thingy into half (from A4 to A5) and slot them into envelopes to send out to schs. there were like >300 to fold and slot (i got super sianed) and i finished ytd morning. then today 3 of us slotted the invitation card into the envelopes before 'sealing it (just sticking the flaps inside the envelopes)' and then they were sent to the post office during lunch. after lunch, the AD somehow found out that the reply slips were in A4 sizes and got pissed cos she wanted them to be in A5 sizes. the smaller bosses explained it had to be A4 so that there's space to include whatever that needs to be included and then they can fax it back. but somehow AD thought A5 is better and starting scolding pple. and then she gave me this accusing look and i got quite freaked out cos it was like she's gonna scold me as well (and it's not my fault cos as temps we don't make decisions we do the saikang that we're instructed to do) and i quickly looked away and did other stuff and luckily she sorta realised it was really not my fault.
oh and this morning while going to work it was pouring. while walking to je mrt the sky was dark but it didn't rain (thankfully) but when i reached the office busstop it was pouring so i had no choice but to use my umbrella. and the path to the office was flooding. like most of it anw. see, i had to walk through this back gate, which was only partially open in the middle. and somehow all the water came gushing down from the slope beyond the gate and concentrated in the area where the gate was open! and i had to walk through it. and that was where my shoes/socks/feet were soaked inevitably. went to the toilet, took out my socks (cos i really didn't wanna wear wet socks the whole day) and tried to dry my feet and wore my shoes without socks (which felt uncomfortable, my imo not as uncomfortable as with wet socks). vt took off his socks as well and jz insists it's worse to take out socks cos the socks will be washed but when u take out socks all the germs will concentrate in the shoes. ah well. the pt is, i had to dry my umbrella as well, and i saw the other bosses drying their umbrella beside their desks so i tried doing that, but realised the area around my desk are places where pple hafta walk through so i'll be blocking the way. so i found a spot near the entrance of the office (but under the desk so it's not blocking any path nor is it that obvious to the eyes) that has aircon blowing directly at it. anw jz also put his umbrella there later in the day and that probably made our umbrellas look more obvious. and AD saw it and got unhappy and went "whose umbrellas are these?" in a pissed tone and we had to quickly keep the umbrellas. to be fair, they were alr dry. oh well.
came home, decided there was time to go running, and i did. sorta felt guilty for eating charkwayteow for lunch today too. i was meaning to eat it but alw didn't. but it tasted real good (fat and oily stuff alw taste good). i bought it from this stall (zion road fried kway teow i think) which has newspaper articles about the stall and culinary certs pasted all around, so it must be good. and the queue was long too. waited a long time before my turn. there are at least 2 other stalls selling charkwayteow as well but everyone just buys from this stall so i followed. and it was the right decision cos it tasted yummy. from the luckcheong to the fishcake to the kwayteow to the hum (usually i dislike hums, but this was more edible than others) to that oil bits thingy which i dunno the name for.
i think i used too many brackets.
i smell nice claypot riceeee
